I may have discovered the literary methadone to break The Boss’s “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish” addiction. It’s Martin Waddell’s “Farmer Duck,” an Orwellian tale in which beasts of burden literally overthrow Da Man.
Appropriately enough, the copy we borrowed from the library has a Chinese translation running alongside the English text. It’s perfect for budding Communist minds—a celebration of all animals being equal! Never mind that some animals are more equal than others.
